As a child Holly seemed to always find the secret passage ways to wondrous worlds all her own. As time went on she found that more and more often they continued to lead her to the basement of her home, to her father’s studio where the glowing lights of mixers were magic. At a very young age, she discovered ways to combine her innate love for music and explore the boundless nature of her imagination by spending much of her time alone, tapping at the piano in the early hours of the morning. She recalls summers filled with hearing her father’s music echoing through festival fields to the beat of lonely flashing lights eventually lulling her to sleep on her mothers lap backstage, at hours far past her bedtime. Undoubtedly due to tradition, these summers inspired her to orchestrate and create her own music.

Ten years later, at the age of twenty, nothing has really changed and Holly continues to find herself either at the piano or in the studio into the early hours learning the proper expression of her overflowing imagination. “The Carousel” is a time capsule of Holly’s invention, also her first full album. It was released February 14th 2009.

Holly is also a member of Toronto techno trio, Parallels. Formed in October 2008 by former Crystal Castles drummer, Cam Findlay, Holly continues to write, record and tour as lead vocalist and keyboard player of Parallels.
